In Progress:
What follows is an illustration of what this section of the website would look like.
In my own capacities I plan to continue developing this part of the project through the next semester by using the skills acquired during the course "Documentary Film Making for the Social Sciences" for filming and editing the interviews. I have also envisioned pairing the current work of this project with the course "Oral Histories & Interview methods" offered at CEU during the Winter Semester.
An obvious next step is establishing connections with some of the NGOs and educational programs that I have listed in the section "Hungary". I have already gotten in touch with the Roma Access Program at CEU, and the HRSI Roma turoring initiative to reach out for resources and potential future collaborations. Moreover, exploring what role / what capacity the Hungarian National Archives want to be involved is something to consider as well. It is obvious that the project will need the institutional support of an already established NGO or initiative. If not it can only proceed with my capacities and language abilities.
Importantly, another aspect to consider is the translation of the material and the collaboration for carrying out interviews in Hungarian. I do not speak Hungarian and this is an aspect that cooperation with an organization would be crucial for.
Potential Organizations for collaboration:
The Roma Access Program, CEU
The Roma Education Fund
Human Rights Initiative, CEU
The Hungarian National Archives
